The Pipe Welder's responsibilities include inspecting materials, maintaining tools, performing pre-welding preparations, welding components according to specifications and diligently following safety regulations. You should also be prepared to work in cramped places.</p><p>To be successful as a Pipe Welder/Fitter you should be able to study schematics and devise welding plans. A top Pipe Welder/Fitter should work with great attention to detail and must be able to deliver a consistent and smooth weld.</p><p></p><p>Hours of Work: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday - Thursday) 40 Hours Per Week<br> <br> What will you be doing:</p><ul><li>Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.</li><li>Determining the required tools, materials and welding methods.</li><li>Assembling, installing and repairing pipe components and systems according to specifications.</li><li>Inspecting materials, equipment, and tools.</li><li>Maintaining supplies, equipment, and tools.</li><li>Preparing working materials by clamping, cutting or bevelling piping.</li><li>Examining completed welds to ensure they are free of defects, smooth, and functional.</li><li>Occasional use of overhead cranes, forklift, ladders, and other equipment</li><li>Perform other duties as required.</li><li>Observing safety regulations.</li></ul> <br> <p>What you bring to Cambridge Pro Fab Inc.</p><ul><li>3-5 years? Experience as a Pipe Welder.</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot and strong attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent technical skills and the ability to interpret schematics.</li><li>Good communication skills.</li><li>Working knowledge of CWB, AWS, ANSI, API and ASME B31.1 and B31.3 codes and standards</li><li>Strong background in pipe welding processes and inspection</li><li>Knowledge and experience with beveling equipment, threaders, and saws</li><li>Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail</li><li>Works well under pressure.</li><li>Physical dexterity.</li><li>Safety conscious work habits.</li><li>Accountable and able to work in a team or with minimum supervision.</li><li>Effective communication skills (both written & verbal).</li><li>Accountable and able to work in a team or with minimum supervision.</li><li>Willing to work different shifts and extra hours as required.</li></ul>
