*THEATRE TECHNICIAN * *Location: Prosserman JCC, 4588 Bathurst Street, North York ON* *Rate: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience* *Are YOU our Theatre Technician?* Reporting to the Technical Manager, the theatre technician will assist with production, event, audio/video, and ?Smart Hand? IT demands of the Leah Posluns Theatre. You have a flexible schedule with the ability to work between 10 and 24 hours per week as needed including early mornings, days, evenings, and weekends dependent on event booking schedule. *Key Responsibilities* * Ensure operational readiness of all audio, visual and lighting equipment * Operate lighting, audio and all other production equipment for events and programs * Trouble-shoot and work to resolve tech issues * Work alongside Front of House Manager and/or Rental and Events Coordinator to supervise events and programs * Support volunteers at events and programs * Serving as primary liaison for all event-related vendors (i.e., catering, florists, etc.) * Working creatively with renters to maximize the success of their event * Supervising the Theatre while in use by renters (i.e., attend any rehearsals, set-up, the event itself, and/or clean-up) *About the JCC* At the JCC, you are part of something bigger.
