*Job description* Arvin Sango Canada, Inc. (ASCI) is an automotive component manufacturer, specializing in vehicle exhaust systems and welded structural components. Due to the continued growth of the company, we currently have an opportunity for a motivated and hands-on *Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist* for our London, Ontario facility*. *This position requires an applicant with experience in all areas of Health & Safety and Environmental initiatives. *Job Duties and Responsibilities* * Lead EHS initiatives across all areas of the workplace. * Perform internal EHS audits that are compliant with corporate policies, practices, and procedures. * Ensure compliance with OHSA standards and relevant legislation. * Coordinate various components of the EHS programs, such as emergency preparedness, accident prevention, general plant safety, ergonomics, hazard surveillance, SDS maintenance, and environmental waste. * Develop and deliver training materials related to EHS topics. * Track and coordinate training to ensure compliance and safety. * Lead and coordinate JHSC meetings to ensure workplace EHS concerns are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner. * Work with WSIB, MOL, and other EHS related organizations when required. * Recommend and implement solutions to identified EHS concerns on the factory floor. *Schedule:* * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Holidays * Overtime * Weekend availability *Job Qualifications* * 2 years of EHS experience in manufacturing environment. * Experience with related organizations, such as WSIB and MOL. * Experience with training and coaching. * Knowledge of OHSA and other relevant H&S and environmental legislation. * Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed. *Education* * Bachelor?s degree in Health & Safety or similar preferred, but not required. *What We Have to Offer* ASCI prides itself on being a fun, fast paced and dynamic workplace that emphasizes respect.
