Now hiring multiple positions including line cooks, junior sous chef, bakers. Do you have a passion for cooking? Barbacoa is a restaurant that focuses on Live Fire cooking, utilizing hard wood and charcoal in our open kitchen in a small steakhouse in Spruce Grove, Alberta. ·At Barbacoa, we cook our food over an open flame. We base our concept off of traditions in early era BBQ. Cultures around the world use this type of gathering as a way to celebrate community and tradition. Barbacoa has received Edify Edmonton's Best Steakhouse Award for two years straight, working alongside many local suppliers and farmers to provide the best ingredients that we can get our hands on. We focus on new and innovative techniques and ingredients utilizing our wood fired grill in front of all of our guests to see. We are looking for chef's that want to explore more opportunity to learn and be creative and share their passion with others. Job Details: Full time line cook for lunch and/or dinner shifts. (35-40 hr/week) Full/Part time baker to work mornings Full time junior sous chef Total Compensation: $20-$25/hr, based on experience including weekly tips (based on hours worked and % Sales) Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to: · Be knowledgeable about menu items, menus changes and food preparation. . Take ownership of your station and know all ins/ outs of how it works · Consistently prepare ingredients, garnishes, bread, pastries, sauces from scratch. · Maintain standards of cleanliness as well as readiness to execute. · Follow a clean as you go mantra to ensure that the kitchen area is always clean and orderly.
