*Warehouse Clerk - Entry Level or Experienced - Weekdays Daytime* Surrey, North East (Port Kells Industrial Park), British Columbia (9652 188th Street, Surrey BC V4N 3M2) As a warehouse clerk you facilitate the handling of inventory, preparing them for sale, and shipping them out. This includes but is not limited to duties and Responsibilities such as; Packaging, Pulling Orders, Shipping Orders, Receiving Shipments, Product Quality Control, Inter-branch transfers, Work Orders, Counter Pickup Service, Merchandise Return Service, Warehouse Facilitation, and other tasks under the direction of the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor. We will train the successful applicant in all aspects that this position requires. No experience is required, though it is an asset. This job is physically demanding and persons are on their feet through the day. Most items handled are made of steel and are heavy. Lifting heavy boxes and items is routine in this job. Our warehouse is highly computerized and structured, following our ISO9001-2015 procedures. We are looking for an applicant that can work well in a structured and computerized environment. Our interview process contains a practical component to evaluate your basic math, attention to detail, and basic English language communications skills. Practical relates to our particular warehouse needs. Out of country or non-local applicants need not apply. We are looking only for local candidates. *Major Functions:* * Long term Permanent Full-time. Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. * Stock picking, order shipping, inventory receiving, and other warehouse tasks. * Basic Math; Adding, subtracting, multiplying, paperwork, computer entry throughout day. * Products are mostly steel fasteners, so heavy lifting is involved. *Requirements:* * Warehouse or related industrial experience of minimum 1-2 years - an asset but not required. * Proficient English communication skills. * Work well as part of a team, and independently. * Consistently punctual, dependable, reliable character. * Basic computer and typing skills. * Fork lift certified or must be prepared to become fork lift certified. (Proficient driving skills). * You will be asked for Job references, if experienced. * Must be bondable (no criminal record). We are involved in international export and certain security rules apply. * Require certified steel toe shoes. *Compensation:* * Starting wage $19-21 + depending experience. * Full benefits after probation * Must provide proof of valid Social Insurance Number / Legal to work in Canada.
