Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Bill of lading. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Flatbed. Liquid bulk. Tractor-trailer. Tractor-trailer B train. Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul. Provincial/territorial. Regional. Short-haul. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Medical exam. Screening questions: Do you currently reside in proximity to the advertised location?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. Experience: Experience an asset.
