Kelly Greenway Bruce is a full-service law firm in Oshawa, Ontario. We are looking for a 0-2 year call-to handle federal prosecutions, Employment Law or Family/Civil litigation. (Excellent knowledge of criminal procedure and CDSA a must) to join our team. The lawyer hired for this position will play a key role in our federal prosecution team. The lawyer will be responsible for appearing in court and in office full time. *RESPONSIBILITIES* * Carry and independently manage a full caseload of files * Appear in court on a regular basis * Provide advice and representation to clients * Draft documents and pleadings * Attend mediations, settlement conferences and other meetings This role will appeal to someone who wishes to be part of a team in a well-established firm. Salary commensurate with experience. *Qualifications* * Negotiation skills * Strong research abilities * Excellent writing skills * Proficiency in legal drafting * Familiarity with Lexis-Nexis * Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school * Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction * Experience in a law firm * Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Job Type: Full-time Additional pay: * Bonus pay Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site parking * Vision care Schedule: * Monday to Friday Licence/Certification: * Member good standing, Law Society of Canadian jurisdiction (required) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2024-10-25- LocationOshawa, ON
