Our drive for continuous improvement mandates the addition of a *Senior Pattern Maker.*
Reporting to the Director Product Development, the *Senior Pattern Maker *is responsible for the development of patterns from concept through to production while ensuring fit and styling meet Sympli brand standards.

Your love of fashion combined with your design sensibility and technical understanding of pattern making, fit, and apparel construction allows you to develop product that aligns with Sympli brand vision while propelling the Sympli brand further forward. With passion comes the drive to tackle a heavy workload with the confidence and commitment required to meet seasonal deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Pattern Maker is responsible for ensuring the proper fit and grading of patterns from concept to production ready finish while maintaining consistency with brand vision and values.
Responsibilities:
Prototypes:
* Collaborate with design team to develop sample patterns for prototypes
* Participate in design fittings and amend patterns according to changes
Grading:
* Collaborate and communicate with design team and sample sewers through development and approval processes to arrive at finalized product samples
* Develop product with construction cost efficiencies in mind
* Digitize patterns utilizing the Gerber system.
* True and engineer pattern pieces to ensure all pieces meet construction standards
* Grade production patterns according to brand fit guidelines
* Issue and track grading samples
* Schedule fittings
* Participate in the fitting of grade samples while implementing changes
* Work with production team to resolve manufacturing issues
Production Assistance:
* Assist in backup marker making when necessary
* Assist in exporting markers for outside manufactures as needed
Skills/Qualifications:
* Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design or Fashion Merchandising
* A minimum of 7 years patternmaking experience in women?s apparel
* Knowledge of silhouettes, construction techniques, and technical fabric and trim knowledge
* Ability to work in a demanding fast paced environment while maintaining high quality standards and accuracy
* Highly detail oriented
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
* Microsoft Office proficiency
