*Job description* *Job Overview:* We are looking to hire an experienced electrician who can work on residential and commercial projects. As an electrician, your main responsibilities include troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and testing electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and other related equipment. As a successful electrician, you should be detail-oriented and have sound knowledge of Canadian and Ontario electrical codes, be adept at reading building plans, know mathematics and basic calculations, and be a critical thinker. You will play a critical role in our company?s success by ensuring jobs are completed in a timely and professional manner while maintaining a high level of service and standards. Hours of work will vary based on business needs. On occasion, hours may run later or earlier than standard hours. This position includes on-call shifts that run on a rotational basis. *Licensed Electrician 309A Requirements:* · Must have a valid 309A license · 2-4 years of proven experience in residential and commercial work · Valid driver?s license · Solid understanding of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods · Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations · Commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail · Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment · Must be comfortable working with and training an apprentice · Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications · Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes *Responsibilities:* · Troubleshoot electrical problems · Install and repair electrical circuitry · Install and upgrade electrical panels · Electrical service upgrades · Install home standby generators · Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs conduits and other electrical conductor raceways · Splices and terminates electrical conductors · Tests electrical and electronic equipment to ensure its functioning properly Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $42.00-$45.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * Vision care Schedule: * Monday to Friday * On call * Overtime * Weekends as needed Experience: * Journeyman Electrician: 2 years (required) Licence/Certification: * Drivers Licence (required) Work Location: In person- LocationNepean, ON
