Job Overview: We are seeking a Delivery Driver who can also perform order picking and assist on the loading dock as needed. This is a part-time role with opportunities for advancement to a full-time driver position at higher wages. Responsibilities: · Assist with maintaining an organized and efficient loading dock. · Load trucks for deliveries and ensure products are properly placed or sent to designated coolers. · Clean work areas and equipment and sort products for various routes and overstock. · Deliver Hertel?s products to customers throughout Vancouver Island. · Step in to complete delivery routes when the full-time driver is unavailable. Qualifications: · Recent clean driver?s abstract. · 1 year of experience in heavy lifting, driving, and delivery driving. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think quickly, and work independently with minimal supervision. · Must be able to commute reliably or relocate to Port Alberni prior to starting. Pay and Benefits: · Salary: $17.87 to $24.93 hourly, depending on experience · Additional pay: Overtime. Benefits include: · Extended health and dental care. · Life insurance. · Paid vacation: Two weeks after one year (4% vacation pay). · Company perks such as discounted or free food and on-site parking. Work Schedule: · Day shifts (preferred). · Flexible schedule with 8?10 hour shifts. Job Types: Permanent, Part-time, Full-time. Work Location: On-site at Port Alberni.
