Our people is our success and we promote a diverse and inclusive culture that is built on collaboration and teamwork. *This role is a permanent full-time position and based in Mississauga (on-site).* *Job Overview* The Microvellum Programming Manager will oversee a team of professionals in designing and who develop detailed millwork project 3D drawings, CNC programs and Assembly drawings using Microvellum software. This position demands a combination of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and direct participation in design and programming tasks. *Key Responsibilities* Team Leadership: * Lead and manage a team of five programmers and designers. * Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and performance assessments. * Cultivate and enhance team proficiency in Microvellum to ensure high-quality deliverables. Hands-On Programming and Design: * Actively contribute to the creation and modification of 3D models, project layouts, and technical drawings. * Ensure projects are completed on schedule, meeting all specifications and quality standards. Project Management: * Collaborate with project managers and production teams to align on project specifications and deadlines. * Resolve design-related issues promptly during project execution. Quality Assurance: * Establish and maintain quality control processes to validate design accuracy. * Regularly review team outputs to uphold stringent quality standards. Process Improvement: * Assess and refine current programming and design workflows. * Recommend and implement advanced technologies or methodologies to boost efficiency and precision. Budget and Resource Allocation: * Oversee departmental resources, including budgeting for software upgrades and training initiatives. *Required Skills and Qualifications* Expertise in Programming Software: * In-depth knowledge of Microvellum, including all related modules and tools within a CAD/CAM framework * Experience in Solid works 3D Modeling * Experience in SWOOD will be considered an asset Proven Leadership Experience: * Minimum of three years in a leadership role within millwork programming. * Demonstrated success in managing small, high-performing teams. Technical and Design Proficiency: * Strong background in millwork design and manufacturing. * Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM technologies. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: * Excellent ability to articulate technical details and project requirements. * Promote a collaborative and productive team environment. Problem-Solving Aptitude: * Skilled in identifying and resolving technical and design challenges efficiently. *Certifications* * Certification in Microvellum or equivalent CAD/CAM software is a plus.
