*Job Type: *Full-Time
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Assisting with the quotes to go out;
* Creating a project team to create a plan for the project and assigning tasks;
* Communicating effectively with the client to ensure all specifications of the job can be and are being met;
* Oversee/Mentor the project manager to ensure the project is successful;
* Overseeing the logistics, human resources, and billing for the project;
* Ensuring quality of raw materials are in line with quality standards for the project;
* Troubleshooting any problems with the project team;
* Regularly review timings, budget, risk and project plans to ensure work stays on track;
* Coordinating ?Post Project? review meetings.
* Participate in contract negotiations;
* Review contracts to create required budgets for projects and monitor budgets;
* Review contracts to ensure Quality Control is considered to prevent foreseeable consequences;
* Review and sign off on sub-contractors on site.
* Monitor safety requirements and ensure staff are completing jobs in a safe manner.
* Recommending policy and procedure improvements;
Qualifications and Skills:
* Minimum of 5 years? experience in a *Project Management *role in a heavy civil or mining setting.
* A college diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Degree in Construction Management.
*Note: *a combination of education and experience will be considered.
* Designation of P.Eng or PQS is an asset
* Highly effective negotiation, communication and conflict resolution skills required.
* Proven track record in delivering projects on time and on budget.
* Strong ability to read and understand construction drawings, purchase orders, and contracts.
* Proven track record in safety leadership with familiarity in current health and safety standards.
* Proficient in Microsoft Program, including MS project.
* Excellent problem solving, verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize workloads while thriving in a fast-paced environment.
* Must hold a Valid Class 5 Driver's license.
