Global Gourmet Foods is a division of Premium Brands Holdings Corporation (TSX: PBH) which owns a broad range of leading specialty food manufacturing and differentiated food distribution businesses with operations. Global Gourmet Foods is a federally registered food manufacturer who supplies premium kettle products to key accounts in both domestic and export markets. We are seeking Senior Accountant will work closely with the Controller who is in overseeing the Finance Department and he/she will be involved full cycle of accounting activities. *DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:* * Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded * Prepare bank reconciliations and GL account working papers * Maintain GL and assist in period-end closing procedures * Coordinate with offsite locations to ensure procedures are followed and GL?s are maintained * Assist in the preparation of management and financial reports according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines * Participate in the budget and forecast processes * Assist with analyzing financial statements and report on variances * Maintain inventory subledger * Perform ad-hoc analysis reports as assigned * Supervise AP function * Preparation of GST, WCB returns, and other government remittances and reports * Assist with other accounting projects * Assist in other duties and projects assigned by Controller *QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:* * Detail-oriented and be able to perform under tight deadlines * Experience in a multiple location, multiple company environment is a definite asset * Experienced with staff supervision * Excellent understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices * Working knowledge in an ERP system environment and MS Office, experience with QuickBooks an asset * Designated CPA, CA, CGA, or CMA preferred * Excellent written, verbal, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills * Ability to speak Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an asset Competitive salary and wages are negotiable depending on experience.
