Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Noisy. Dusty. Cold/refrigerated. Hot. Work setting: Various locations. High-rise building construction sites. Construction site. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Instruct apprentices. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Assist in demolishing buildings. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Perform routine maintenance work. Equipment and machinery experience: Mortar and concrete mixers. Grinding machine. Air compressors. Air guns. Drills. Torches. Sledgehammer. Hand tools. Construction specialization: Residential. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Hand-eye co-ordination.
