*Job Summary* We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating the movement of freight and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in data entry, and familiarity with supply chain processes. The Dispatcher will work closely with drivers, customers, and various departments to optimize operations and enhance service delivery. *Duties* * Coordinate and schedule shipments to ensure timely deliveries. * Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions and updates. * Utilize AS400 and SyteLine systems for tracking freight and managing logistics. * Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records. * Monitor shipment status and resolve any issues that may arise during transit. * Collaborate with 3PL providers to enhance supply chain efficiency. * Maintain clear communication through phone systems while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. *Skills* * Proficient in data entry with a high level of accuracy. * Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders. * Knowledge of freight operations and supply chain management principles. * Experience using AS400 or SyteLine software is preferred but not mandatory. * Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL) processes is a plus. * Ability to type efficiently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. * Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication with clients and team members. * Plans and outlines daily workload distribution for team members to execute completion. * Co-ordinates the flow of inbound and outbound freight while staying abreast of daily priorities and weekly transportation targets. * Ensures the timely resolution of customer inquiries, concerns and problems. * Supports Regional Transportation operations offering assistance and guidance as required. * Plans and schedules team members to ensure proper staffing across all shifts, ensuring alignment with volumes and service expectations. * Reviews accuracy of time and attendance reporting to ensure legal compliance with hours of work * Awareness of Highway traffic act including hours of service, TDG, weight restrictions etc. * Strong knowledge of applicable routes within region. * Compiles data on incidents and accident, and distributes and communicates with appropriate personnel. * Committed to achieving Transportation targets in a timely fashion while focusing on continuous improvement * Customer Service Skills including effectively and efficiently responding to Client and employee inquiries; resolving any conflicts or problems that might arise; etc. Join us as a Dispatcher, where your organizational skills and attention to detail will contribute significantly to our operational success!
