*Position:* Specialty Camp Counsellor *Overview:*As a Specialty Camp Counsellor at Camp KidsTown, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, educational, and enjoyable experience for campers within our specialized program. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for [specialty area, Robotics, 3D Printing, Arts, Media, Sports, Science, Dance, Crafts] who are enthusiastic, responsible, and eager to inspire young campers. *Key Responsibilities:* *Supervision and Guidance: *Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all camp activities related to the specialty area. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, ensuring campers feel welcome and included. *Teaching and Skill Development: *Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, workshops, and lessons related to the specialty area. Assist campers in developing their skills and knowledge in the specialty area. *Mentoring and Leadership: *Serve as a positive role model for campers, demonstrating good sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect. Promote character development, leadership, and personal growth among campers. *Teamwork: *Collaborate with fellow counsellors and camp staff to create a cohesive and engaging camp experience. *Safety and Emergency Response: *Be knowledgeable about camp safety protocols and emergency procedures. Act responsibly in case of emergencies and ensure the well-being of campers. *Qualifications:* * Enthusiasm for the [specialty area, e.g., arts, sports, science] and a desire to share this passion with campers. * Experience working with children, such as previous camp counseling, coaching, or teaching. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Leadership abilities and the capacity to be a positive role model. * CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain it before camp starts). * Criminal Background Check (18+) Job Type: Seasonal Contract length: 8 weeks Pay: $17.20 per hour Schedule: * Monday to Friday Education: * Secondary School (preferred) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2025-07-01- LocationMilton, ON
