Position #: 074980 Expected Start Date: January 02, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Hector Thibedeau School City/Town: Sandy Bay Department: Dental Program Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: Yes Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Dental Therapist - Diploma $30.208 to $36.920 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Senior Dental Therapist and the Therapies Team Lead, the Dental Therapist will provide prevention services, diagnostic treatment planning, restorative/operative dental treatment, community and preventive dentistry services to children in the Dental Health Program. The incumbent specializes in stimulating, coordinating, and delivering oral health promotion activities aimed at reducing disease and promoting oral health for people in the community. Incumbents must have an ability to work independently and within multi-disciplinary teams. The incumbent will plan, develop, organize, implement and evaluate the delivery of an active preventive oral health education and promotion program within the dental professionals scope of practice.
