Responsibilities: * Work with precise limits or standards of accuracy. * Make decisions based on measurable criteria and visualize objects in three-dimensions from plans and drawings. * Able to read and follow drawings. * Select type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specifications. * Follows the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other disciplines. * Cuts pipe using various tools and equipment. * Threads pipe using threading machine, also bends pipe with hand or with a pipe-bending machine. * Assemble and installs variety of metal and nonmetal pipe and pipe fittings. * Follows all Pipeworx welding procedures (WPS) for the purpose of tacking pipe components. * Secures pipes to structure with clamps, brackets, and hangers, using hand tools. * Installs and maintains refrigeration and air-conditioning systems including compressors, pumps, meters, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and piping. * Tests piping system for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges. * Able to follow instructions exactly as given. * Mentors and works closely with Pipefitter Apprentices. * Reports any issues and/or concerns to the Piping Lead Hand and/or the site Superintendent. * Work with precise limits or standards of accuracy. * Make decisions based on measurable criteria and visualize objects in three-dimensions from plans and drawings. * Experience with Bolt-up and high torqueing a must Experience: - Proven experience as a ticketed Pipefitter - Knowledge of pipefitting techniques, materials, and tools - Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment - Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal Pay: $36.00-$40.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 44 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 10 hour shift * Overtime * Weekends as needed Experience: * pipefitting: 4 years (required) Work Location: In person- LocationSpruce Grove, AB
