*Job Overview:*
We are currently seeking dedicated Medical Office Assistants to join our Primary Care team. This role involves assisting our healthcare professionals in their day-to-day tasks, facilitating effective communication, and ensuring that the clinic runs smoothly.
*Responsibilities include, but not limited to:*
* Greet patients, determine their needs and proceed with appropriate action or direct them to the appropriate department/personnel.
* Receive incoming calls and answer routine inquiries; transfer calls to the appropriate team if applicable.
* Schedule patient appointments.
* Verify patient identity with valid government-issued photo ID, date of birth and legal name.
* Create, maintain and update patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
* Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information.
* Assist with various point of care testings or clinical procedures.
* Complete assigned tasks and follow up incoming & outgoing emails in a timely manner.
* Check and restock medical supplies in examination rooms.
* Provide general administrative support including, scanning documents, preparing and sending letters and notices, distributing incoming mails, and billing support.
* Assist and manage release of medical documents to patient and related correspondences.

* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
* Excellent customer service skills
* Demonstrate strong empathy and de-escalation skills.
* Attention to details.
* High level of professionalism and ethics
* Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures, as well as privacy and confidentiality rules as per the Health Information Protection Act
* Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in a multidisciplinary medical practice
* Experience in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 ? 40 per week
