Position Title: Licensed Industrial MechanicPosition Type: Regular - Full-Time Position Location: Florenceville Potato Grade: Dependant on QualificationsRequisition ID: 33283 McCain Foods (Canada) is looking for a Licensed Industrial Mechanic. QUALIFICATIONS:Fully licensed industrial mechanic and/or a diploma in a relevant technical field. Consideration may be given to a career-focused individual possessing a high school diploma/GED, proven technical aptitude and committed to pursuing a journeyperson certification. Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasksAbility to accept and embrace change in a fast-paced environment Strong working knowledge of PC's and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to successfully work individually or collaboratively with othersMust work with a sense of urgencyPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment considered an asset Successful completion of a 90 day training periodResponsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:Responsible for mechanical breakdown and proactive repairs of all equipment in the Florenceville Fry Facility Observe equipment and component conditions while doing jobs, and provide feedback as appropriateProvide all information requested on feedback forms as part of completing jobs Participate in McCain's Equipment Ownership Program Effectively use SAP system for work orders Work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with production and maintenance colleaguesMaintain an excellent attendance recordPerform all other duties as they ariseApplicants must possess a good safety record and continually demonstrate "safety first." Selection of employees for promotion is based upon such factors as ability, special training, experience, job performance record, attendance, ability to meet the physical demands of the position, education, length of service, and involvement in additional assignments. Length of service will be the determining factor when all other factors are relatively equal. Testing may be required depending on the position applied for. Interviews will be held as necessary and those selected for interview are determined based on meeting the criteria as noted above. An evaluation period will be used to determine the candidate's suitability for the position.
