Financial Debt Recovery Limited (FDR) is a single source provider for all corporate credit and revenue management needs, focused on collection services for accounts. FDR provides collection services to a broad range of major Canadian organizations across the country. Our clients currently include the Ontario Government Collection Management Unit, the largest automotive portfolios, many of Canada?s chartered banks, and an extensive commercial base of clients. Our clients have come to rely on FDR for proven results and assistance in managing their portfolios by controlling delinquency and increasing recoveries.
We are currently experiencing rapid growth and development in Canada as well as expansion into the U.S. and are recruiting a dedicated individual to work full time in our accounting department, based at our Head Office in Richmond Hill, ON. *Job Description*
*Duties may include but are not limited to:*
* Support monthly F/S, budget preparation, and external audits
* Mentor and teach junior accounting staff
* Responsible for monthly NSF and revenue reconciliations
* Daily revenue, client statement, and client remittance reconciliations
* Reconcile bank daily deposits and ARs
* Process client refund cheques, client statements, and print cheques for retail customers
* Trust fund transfers between accounts
* Prepare sales tax returns
* Create sales commission reports
* Create entries and post in ACCPAC and QuickBooks
* Trust liabilities and transfer clearance GL analysis
* Assist with other tasks, as necessary, including ad-hoc reports, daily banking, AR, Payroll and licensing
* Review all intercompany transactions
*Qualifications*
* Professional degree or diploma in accounting, or related field
* Minimum 4 years? experience in an accounting
* Detail-oriented, organized, efficient and able to multi-task
* Excellent technical, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Strong excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables etc?)
* Trust accounting experience an asset
