*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support ophthalmologists by performing various technical tasks and assisting with patient care. The candidate will be a quick learner, a team player, enjoy working with the public, as well as having no limitations on working full days Monday to Friday with occasional over-time. We are willing to train the right person to be a multi-tasker of technician duties using diagnostic imaging machines, as well as screening of patients for the doctor. *Responsibilities* * Conduct preliminary eye examinations and gather patient history. * Assist with diagnostic testing, including visual field tests, tonometry, and retinal imaging. * Prepare patients for examination by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort. *Qualifications* * There are no qualifications to apply for this job, as we are willing to train the right person * Experience working in the medical field is a bonus for hiring Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 ? 37 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Extended health care * On-site parking * Vision care Schedule: * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-11-25- LocationComox, BC
