Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Part-time (0.5 FTE) Education Assistant at Pat Hardy Elementary School, Whitecourt, Alberta.<p>Successful candidate responsibilities: Provide support to students in an inclusive setting <p> Follow the direction of the classroom TeacherPreference will be given to candidates who: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff<p> Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teachers and other educational assistants in the classroom/school<p> Understand and carry out oral and written direction<p> Work independently with minimal instruction<p> Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills <p> Respect confidentiality <p> Practice professionalism with all PHE School students, staff, administration, parents and public<p> Are aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures<p> Have experience working with young children<p> Have an understanding of the teaching/learning process<p> Have strong interpersonal skills and patience<p> Enjoys working in a team environmentStart Date: ASAPHours: 3 hours per dayApplication Process: Email a cover letter and resume, including references, by November 26, 2024, to:Ms. Anne Martens, Principal<p>Pat Hardy Elementary School<p>Phone: 780-778-6266<p>anne.martens@ngps.ca<p>If shortlisted, applicants must bring to the interview a Release of Results of Vulnerable Sector Check that is current within three (3) months. <p>We appreciate all applications, but we will only contact those who are shortlisted.- LocationWhitecourt, AB
