Education: Bachelor's degree. Architectural engineering. Engineering, other. Work site environment: Interior. Tasks: Prepare engineering designs and drawings. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Develop and prepare design sketches. Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates. Write technical reports. Write specifications. Estimate costs and materials. Complete documentation packages and drawing sets. Examine drawings for conformity and errors. Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements. Leading/instructing groups. Computer and technology knowledge: Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino). Internet. Desktop applications. Database software. Computer-aided design (CAD). SketchUp. AutoCAD. Autodesk REVIT. MS Office. MS Windows. Spreadsheet. Control systems: Energy conservation. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. What is the highest level of study you have completed?.
