*Job Overview* We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our school. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and possess exceptional cooking skills. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating school lunches for all children in preschool-grade 12, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. This role requires leadership abilities and a commitment to fostering a collaborative team environment. *Duties* * Develop and prepare a preschool snack and lunch menu that follows the Ministry of Education guidelines; * Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to food safety regulations. * Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. * Collaborate with management on menu planning and special events. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations. * Monitor food presentation and portion control to ensure consistency in quality. *Qualifications* * Proven experience as a Chef/cook or in a similar role within the food industry. * Strong knowledge of food handling and food safety practices. * Excellent communication skills to interact with staff positively * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
