The incumbent maintains safe work practices to load and unload the delivery truck with totes and assist with other Shipping duties once deliveries are complete. Assignments are received from a superior or directly from other branches or divisions. The incumbent represents the Library?s vision, mission and values by demonstrating and modeling conduct that reflects the library?s policies and procedures.Job Requirements:Education/Qualifications: Completion of the tenth school grade including some experience in shipping and receiving work, OR equivalent combination of training and experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Working knowledge of techniques involved in loading various articles to ensure safe transportation and facilitate easy unloading. Working knowledge of the materials, methods and equipment used in moving heavy items. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs frequently; ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally for short distances. Ability to understand and carry out instructions. Ability to arrange an effective work schedule with minimal direction. Ability to maintain satisfactory relationships with library personnel. Skill in effectively using the equipment and tools required in performance of the work, such as hand truck, furniture dollies and pallet jacks.
