With approximately 180 academic and 80 permanent support staff, the KCDSB is one of the largest employers in the region. <p>KCDSB invites applications for the following at École Ste-Marguerite Bourgeoys in Kenora, ON to commence as soon as possible: <p>Temporary Part-Time Aftercare Support Worker(s) <p>Schedule: 3:30-5:30 pm<p> Monday to Friday (Flexible on number of days per week)<p> <p> <p>Overall Responsibilities : <p><p> Responsible to act professionally and to support the school's safe, inclusive and accepting learning environment by being a positive role model at all times. <p> Responsible for carrying out duties assigned by the Facilitator of the Program or designate <p> Responsible for supporting the needs of all students enrolled in the aftercare program <p><p> <p>Duties: <p><p> Facilitate and actively participate in daily afterschool activities, responding to children's needs and interests <p> Exchange information with parents regarding children's needs and schedules. Respond to parent questions and concerns about children's daily activities and behaviour <p> Administer first aid as required <p> Keep play areas, indoors and outdoors equipment orderly and aesthetically pleasing<p><p> <p>Qualifications: <p><p> 16 years of age or older <p> Employment experience related to working with children or youth preferred <p> Previous childcare program experience as asset<p><p> <p>In your application, please include a cover letter and resume outlining qualifications and your experience working with children, youth and/or adults who have a variety of special needs. Although not necessary, school-based experience is an asset.
