Education: College/CEGEP Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years Work setting Construction Renovation Commercial Self-employed Tasks Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Carpenter Trade Certification Occupational Health and Safety Certificate Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate Equipment and machinery experience Hand tools Transportation/travel information Own transportation Valid driver's licence Own tools/equipment Steel-toed safety boots Hard hat Personal suitability Accurate Reliability Team player Values and ethics Punctuality Screening questions Do you currently reside in proximity to the advertised location?
