Position Overview: Soltron Group is a mid-size, well-established and well-financed real estate company. We are based in Montreal, but we are very bullish on the Calgary market and are looking to continue to invest here. In this job you will not have any outside clients. We only build, purchase, renovate and convert significant buildings that we would like to own for a long time. We recently purchased a beautiful office building in downtown Calgary that we plan to convert to an upscale residential rental building. *Job Responsibilities:* - Leading the design process from conceptual development through construction documentation. - Develop detailed drawings, models, and specifications using tools like AutoCAD or similar software. - Write architectural specifications - Ensure designs comply with building codes and regulations. - Oversee construction phases to ensure quality control and design integrity. - Participate in project meetings and provide solutions to technical challenges. - Co-ordinate engineering and MEP consultants? work to ensure compliance with design solutions and timely submission of documents - Respond to RFI?s and RFQ?s - Ensure adherence to the budget and immediately inform ownership of any potential variances. - Assist ownership with the selection of additional projects to undertake. *Qualifications:* * A degree in Architecture. * A minimum of 5 years of professional architectural experience. . Capable of acting as the Prime Consultant. * Experience in project management. * Proficiency in AutoCAD. * Strong understanding of building codes and permitting processes. * Self-motivated. *What We Offer:* * Competitive Salary: $120,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience * Flexible Scheduling * Full-time employment. * Bonus pay.
