*Job Overview*
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to operate various types of machinery and tools. This role involves fabricating parts, programming CNC machines, Manual Lathe & Milling Machine, and ensuring that all products meet quality standards. The Machinist will play a crucial role in our production process, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
*Responsibilities*
* Operate CNC, Lathe & Milling machines, to produce precision parts.
* Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders.
* Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine specifications.
* Ability to write CNC programs/coding.
* Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines.
* Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
* Fabricate components according to specified dimensions and tolerances to quality standards.
* Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operation needed to fabricate products and determine product dimensions and tolerances
* Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
* Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
* Utilize lean manufacturing principles to improve production processes and reduce waste.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
* Measure, examine and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications
* Ability to work independently with little supervision.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and familiarity with programming techniques.
* Experience in with Manual Lathe & Milling Equipment.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
* Experience with CAD software for design and layout purposes is preferred.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is an asset.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
