Universe Machine Corporation is currently looking for a Welder Helper for our Repair and Modification division. We are a fast-paced shop and the successful candidate will produce as needed to fulfill both internal and external customer orders. The ideal candidate will have overhead crane experience, mechanical aptitude, have a valid class 5 (non-GDL) drivers license with a clean abstract. Job start date: As Soon as Possible Salary: $20.00 Terms: Full Time Overtime Available *Required Experience/Education:* * Forklift Operator experience * Safety ? work safely around the hazards associated with the Oil and Gas industry and machining shop * Assist Pressure welders in shop - buffing, grinding, cutting * Tools ? use hand, electric, pneumatic and hydraulic tools and in a safe manner * Lift, carry and hold building materials and supplies * Clean tools, equipment, materials and work areas * Perform routine service tasks, load/unload trucks, material handling *Personal Suitability:* * Effective interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Team player, Organized, Problem solver *Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:* * Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Standing for extended periods *Benefits:* * Medical/Dental available after 3 months * Group RRSP available *Website:* www.umcorp.com Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship Pay: $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site parking * RRSP match Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person- LocationEdmonton, AB
