Casual On-Call Custodians <p>Competition: S-23-564<p>Location/Dept: Custodial Services <p> Hours: ON-CALL HOURS<p>Start Date: As soon as possible<p>Term Employment: CASUAL <p>Salary: $27.06 Per Hr<p>Posted: November 25, 2024<p>Application Deadline: 16:00 PM,MONDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2024<p> SUMMARY: <p>The Delta School District is currently accepting applications for: CASUAL ON CALL CUSTODIANS<p>QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of Grade 10 or equivalent plus the completion of a recognized <p> Building Service Worker course or an equivalent combination of training and experience.<p> Minimum of 1 year recent related work experience preferably in a custodial or Building Service Worker position. <p> Valid BC driver's license and the ability to travel between assigned locations during shifts.<p> Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. <p> Ability to use judgement and tact when providing information.<p> Ability to work independently and to set priorities. <p> Knowledge of district custodial standards and practices.<p> Ability to operate and maintain appropriate tools and equipment, including computer. <p> Ability to work as a member of a crew.<p> Physically capable of performing the duties of the position.<p> Knowledge of workSafe BC and WHMIS regulations. Safe work practices. <p> Some positions may require the knowledge of a language other than English.<p> Only those applicants who are available seven days per week to work throughout the District will be considered.
