<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>About the Role</strong>:<br />We are seeking an experienced Stick Welder to specialize in welding and fabricating metal structures. This role involves working with a variety of structural components, ensuring strength, durability, and adherence to project specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) techniques and extensive experience in working with structural steel and other metals.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>:</p><ul><li>Perform stick welding on structural metal components, including beams, columns, trusses, and frames.</li><li>Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures according to project blueprints and specifications.</li><li>Inspect materials for defects and prepare surfaces for welding by cleaning, cutting, or grinding.</li><li>Execute quality welds that meet structural and safety requirements.</li><li>Ensure proper alignment of parts during the welding process using jigs, clamps, and other tools.</li><li>Perform load tests and inspections to verify structural integrity.</li><li>Operate equipment such as cutting torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools.</li><li>Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in optimal condition.</li><li>Adhere to safety regulations and workplace standards at all times.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong>:</p><ul><li>Proven experience in welding metal structures, with a focus on stick welding (SMAW).</li><li>Familiarity with structural steel and metalworking processes.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.</li><li>Physical stamina and ability to work in various positions, including overhead, vertical, and confined spaces.</li><li>Strong understanding of welding safety protocols and procedures.</li></ul></div></div>- LocationToronto, ON
