Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Cold/refrigerated. Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Work setting: Various locations. On-site customer service. Tasks: Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Keep maintenance reports and documentation. Perform repair work on heavy trucks. Service attachments and working tools. Assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing. Perform other routine maintenance. Perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment. Operate industrial trucks, tractors and other mobile equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Documentation knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Highway vehicle tires and wheels. Off-road vehicle tires and wheels. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Willing to travel. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Handling heavy loads. Manual dexterity. Overtime required. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
