We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Sous Chef to launch, support and open a brand new restaurant . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in training staff, assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a positive and efficient work environment. This position requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to excellence in food service, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food preparation activities.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food handling and safety standards.
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
* Help manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
* Ensure that all dishes are prepared on time and meet quality standards before serving.
* Address any issues that arise during service promptly and effectively.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food handling practices, and kitchen equipment.
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration within the kitchen team.
* A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
