Take pride in working for a locally-owned business and experience a great team and culture that make you enjoy your work even more! *Position Summary* In this role, you will be a crucial part of our family clinic setting, assisting with both administrative and clinical tasks to support our Nurse Practitioner (NP). Your responsibilities will include helping with patient assessments, histories, vaccinations, and other medical tasks, while also assisting with a range of administrative functions. You will help manage patient inquiries, book appointments, maintain medical records, and support clinic workflows, all while being an essential part of the healthcare team. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with nursing expertise who enjoys a combination of clinical care and administrative duties. As a *Primary Care Nurse*, you will have the unique opportunity to directly contribute to patient care while also ensuring the smooth functioning of clinic operations. *Nursing Practice x Nurse Practitioner Clinic* The *Primary Care Nurse* will have the opportunity to apply clinical skills in support of the Nurse Practitioner?s practice. This may include: * Conducting patient assessments (vital signs, medical histories) * Administering vaccinations and immunizations * Assisting with chronic disease management * Performing point-of-care testing * Managing patient follow-ups and triage * Health education and patient counseling * Supporting the NP in minor procedures as needed *Autonomy and Collaboration* Our philosophy is centered on teamwork. You will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, working closely with the Nurse Practitioner, clinic staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care. This position offers a balance of independence in clinical practice and collaboration with our healthcare team. *Primary Care Clinic Administrative Tasks* Your role will involve critical administrative support, ensuring clinic operations run smoothly, including but not limited to: * Booking and managing patient appointments using our EMR system * Managing phone calls and emails for appointment scheduling * Creating and maintaining accurate and detailed patient records * Supporting patient check-ins and providing appointment reminders * Assisting with clinic billing and payment processing * Coordinating care between clinic locations as needed * Maintaining the clinic's inventory of medical supplies and medications * Preparing and maintaining exam rooms and ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient care *Pharmacy Workflow Support* In addition to your nursing and administrative duties, you will also contribute to supporting the pharmacy workflow, ensuring the smooth operation of both clinical and dispensing activities. This may include: * Assisting with prescription intake, preparation, and accurate dispensing * Managing patient medication profiles, updating records, and ensuring accuracy * Coordinating blister pack creation and maintaining accurate documentation * Assisting with medication reconciliation and medication reviews * S- LocationThunder Bay, ON
