Having both ownership from local management and an infrastructure fund managed by an award-winning investment manager, we are a well-capitalized company looking to grow organically, geographically and by acquisition. *Job purpose/mandate * This role is integral to supporting the growth and efficiency of the finance team. We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, a strong understanding of financial principles and the ability to manage both routine and ad hoc projects and functions. A strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, and consistently delivering results with a sense of urgency and commitment are essential attributes for success in this role. The Financial Analyst is responsible for completing financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, supporting new ERP implementation, accounting research, and other projects that contribute to the growth and efficiency of the finance team. *Specific duties and responsibilities* · Financial reporting and analysis: o Review financial transactions to ensure they are appropriately classified, presented, and disclosed. o Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation. o Prepare and review various account reconciliations, continuity schedules, and other supporting documents. o Prepare financial statements including cash flow statements and associated reports. o Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. · Budget and financial forecasts: o Assist in the annual budgeting process, collaborating with other departments to gather input and ensure alignment with organizational goals. o Develop and maintain financial forecasts, analyzing trends and variances to provide insights for future performance. · New ERP implementation: o Support the migration of financial and operational data from the legacy system into the new ERP system. o Conduct thorough data reconciliation between legacy systems and the new ERP, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. o Participate in system testing phases, identify and document any discrepancies or issues encountered. o Assist in creating documentation for new processes within the ERP system. · Accounting research and analysis o Analyze, identify, and resolve financial reporting issues. o Conduct research on accounting and disclosure issues and assist in developing and communicating recommendations to business groups. o Assist with the continuous improvement of company accounting policies, processes, and controls and ensuring compliance across all companies and groups. o Prepare technical accounting memos. · Other finance and business transformation project-related activities: o Assist in the preparation of documents for the audit of financial statements. o Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze relevant financial information required for ad hoc queries, and special projects. o Review existing reporting processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy. o Assist with acquisition-related due diligence, reporting and integration activities; ensuring financial aspects are addressed during M&A processes. · Uphold and embody company values in all work and interactions, contributing to a positive and supportive team culture. *Knowledge and skills* · Strong technical accounting skills with 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. · Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills. · Ability to work independently and as par
