Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Lay out reference points and patterns. Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures. Weld or bolt sections together. Construct patterns and templates. Welding techniques: Flux core arc welding (FCAW). Gas metal arc welding (GMAW). Equipment and machinery experience: Cutting torches. Drills. Grinder. Shears. Saws. Area of specialization: Structural metal or steel. Platework. Tanks. Security and safety: Bondable. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Hand-eye co-ordination. Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Overtime required. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Welding helmet.
