*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with others on-site. *Education* * College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years * or equivalent experience * Construction trades, other *Experience* 2 years to less than 3 years *Responsibilities* * Load, unload and transport construction materials * Measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting * Perform pre-operational inspection * Read blueprints to determine work requirements * Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring, and barricades * Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt * Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction * Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs * Level earth to fine grade specifications * Assist in demolishing buildings * Clean and pile salvaged materials * Perform routine maintenance work * Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants * Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites * Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction *Skills* * Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods. * Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment is preferred. * Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. * Good communication skills to interact effectively with supervisors and co-workers. * Attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. * Willingness to learn new skills and techniques in the construction field. *Work site environment* * Outdoors * At heights * Confined spaces * Noisy * Dusty * Work setting * Urban area * Various locations * Relocation costs not covered by employer * Construction site *Credentials* *Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses * * Personal protective equipment (PPE) training * Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate * First Aid Certificate *Experience and specialization* Equipment and machinery experience * Screeds * Reciprocating saws * Circular saws * Concrete saws * Grinding machine * Air compressors * Air guns * Nail guns * Drills * Torches * Chain saw * Hand tools *Who can apply for this job?* The employer accepts applications from: * Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary residents of Canada. * Other candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit.
