Position: Security GuardSite: Ingredion Canada IncorporatedSite Address: 1100 Green Valley Road, London, ON N6N 1E3Status: Full TimeHours: Nights 1830-0630hrs Pay Rate: $18.50Overtime Method: Averaging Hours Agreement - calculating after 88 hours bi-weeklyPosting Date: November 28, 2024Closing Date: December 5, 2024 The day-to-day work activities of a Security Guard working at Ingredion include, but are not limited, the following duties: Control entry and access to the plant and maintain accurate logs of those entering and leaving the plantWeigh scale operations Document and Customs control for contractors/driversThere is also some document and customs control for contractors/driversReport safety non-compliances and all incidents to specified Ingredion representative Aid in incident mitigation and investigations when requiredAid in emergency responses and first aid measures when required Aid in Ingredion Health and Safety programs/procedures when requiredMaintain a helpful and professional affiliation with Ingredion employees, carriers, contractors, and visitors Prevent, help manage, observe, detect, report:Thefts, break-ins, vandalismAccidents, fire, leaksArticles of value foundDamage found to buildingHazardous conditionsUnauthorized parking on siteAny other circumstances and conditions not in line with good security practicesFollow additional practices as set out by Ingredion when necessary The applicant must possess the following:Be courteous and cooperative with a high quality of customer serviceGood interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse culturesAble to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situationsWrite clear, concise and legible reports Skills/qualifications: Valid Ontario Security Guard license (required) Valid First Aid & CPR level C certificate Experience in a Truck Gate/Warehouse environment Physically capable of cutting truck bolt seals Microsoft Office experience Essential Job Functions: Be courteous and cooperative with a high quality of customer serviceGood interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse culturesAble to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situationsWrite clear, concise, and legible reportsCommunicates any concerns/issues with Supervisor Other InformationPaladin Security: Making the World a Safer and Friendlier Place because we CARE!
