Find out for yourself as we are currently looking for a *Plant Engineer* for our Maibec CanExel siding plant in East River, Nova Scotia which is conveniently located between the beautiful communities of Hubbards and Chester. The Plant Engineer will be responsible for supporting the capital investment and maintenance programs under the guidance and mentoring of the Engineering Manager. The Plant Engineer will work in a team environment and collaborate with plant personnel, contractors and vendors to successfully execute strategic and continuous investment projects. Additionally, using continuous improvement techniques such as RCFA, LSS and repeat failure analysis the Plant Engineer will help lead the advancement of the reliability programs and processes that have direct impact on key plant performance metrics and business goals. *JOB REQUIREMENTS* * Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and maintenance & reliability systems. * Knowledge of EHS rules, laws, requirements and ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures. * Knowledge of continuous improvement programs. * A creative approach to the latest ideas with knowledge of engineering and design principles. * Demonstrated communication and project management skills. * Effective leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills including budgeting and financial analysis skills. * Ability to effectively implement change and manage conflict. * Ability to develop effective partnerships within and outside of the business. * Ability to motivate, coach and lead others through daily job assignments, team meetings, etc. *EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE* * Bachelors? degree and willing to complete professional designation. * 2-4 years of related experience *WORK ENVIRONMENT* * Plant environment * Some travel (10%) *Maibec CanExel* offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits and programs including group insurance, pension, career mobility and more. _We thank all candidates for their interest, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted. _ Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: * Casual dress * Company pension * Dental care * Disability insurance * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Vision care Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday Education: * Bachelor's Degree (required) Work Location: In person- LocationEast River, NS
