BOLD Engineering Inc. is currently looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC / Plumbing / Fire Protection) in Building Design with experience managing a team of intermediate and junior engineers, designers and drafters. The ideal candidate will need to meet the following criteria. * Must be a licensed P.Eng. in the Province of Ontario with experience and knowledge in the Building Engineering Sector * Be responsible for reviewing, signing and stamping of all Mechanical Work leaving the office. * Must have experience working on both private and public sector government projects. * Must have experience working in a similar consulting firm in Canada, preferable in Ontario. * Must be well versed in local building codes. * Must be comfortable working on the following types of project. * - HVAC - RTUs, MUAs, AHUs, VFDs, VAVs, Hydronic Boiler Systems, Humidification, etc. * - Plumbing - Complete Plumbing Designs for domestic hot water systems * - Fire Suppression - Sprinkler Design, Wet, Dry, Chemical Systems * - Controls: BAS, VFDs, MCCs, Starters * Must have experience working with the following building types: * - Residential (Single Family) * - Residential (Multi-Residential Towns and Condos) * - Commercial Retail * - Commercial Office * - Commercial Restaurants * - Industrial (Small and Large Base Building) * - Institutional - Educational * - Institutional - Municipal Offices / Civic Centres / etc. * - Hospitality - Hotels * - Generator design (mechanical portion) * Must be ready to work independently and to lead a team and provide guidance to junior staff * *Must have 10+ years experience in a similar role* * Compensation: Salary Range will be based on experience and capabilityYear End Bonus *Responsibilities* * Lead and manage a team of engineers in the design and implementation of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. * Utilize CAD software to create detailed schematics and models. * Conduct system design and analysis using MATLAB and SolidWorks. * Oversee manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with industry standards. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize project outcomes and enhance system performance. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
