Firmly multidisciplinary, the Department offers undergraduate, master?s, and doctoral programs, welcoming nearly 1,200 students annually. It also provides several accredited continuing education programs and non-credit training sessions for professionals in the field.</p><p>The Department hosts several internationally recognized research entities, such as the Interuniversity Research Centre on Globalization and Work (CRIMT), the International Observatory on the Societal Impacts of AI and Digital Technologies(OBVIA), the Relief Research Chair on Mental Health, Self-Management, and Work (CRRSMAT), as well as Relations Industrielles/Industrial Relations, the field's oldest scientific journal, which holds a prominent position in global rankings.</p></div></div><div><div>Job Description</div> <div><p>This position aims to meet the Department's research and teaching needs in the field of public policy related to labor and employment, as well as the applied discipline of labor economics.</p><p>The following tasks are expected to be carried out as part of this professorial role:</p><ul> <li>Teaching in French within the undergraduate, master?s, and doctoral programs of the Department of Industrial Relations, particularly in subjects related to labor and employment public policies and labor economics.</li> <li>Conducting research and publishing in the field of labor and employment public policies.</li> <li>Supervising students at all three academic levels (undergraduate, master?s, and doctoral) in the context of internships, professional interventions, essays, master?s theses, and doctoral dissertations.</li> <li>Participating in the pedagogical and administrative activities of the Department of Industrial Relations.</li> <li>Engaging in external activities that contribute to the visibility and influence of the Department and Université Laval.</li></ul></div></div><div><div>Selection criterias</div> <div><ul> <li>A PhD in a discipline relevant to labor and employment public policies. Applications from candidates who are close to defending their doctoral thesis will be considered, provided they include a letter of support from their research supervisor confirming the short-term completion of the thesis.</li> <li>Proven research skills in labor economics and labor and employment public policies, demonstrated through research grants and publications in peer-reviewed journals.</li> <li>University-level teaching experience, ideally supported by teaching evaluations.</li> <li>Knowledge of various international, Canadian, and Quebec institutions related to labor and employment.</li> <li>Ability to integrate into multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary research teams focused on work and employment issues.</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in quantitative methods.</li> <li>Proficiency in French for teaching, or the ability to achieve this within a maximum of two years after the start date.</li></ul><p>Note: Université Laval offers various resources for learning and improving French for non-Francophone candidates.</p></div></div><div><div>Conditions</div> <div><p><strong>Conditions</strong><br>Regular full-time professorial position.<br>Compensation according to the salary scale for professors at Université Laval in effect at the time of hire (refer to p
