*Job Overview* We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Groundsman to join our arborist team. As a Groundsman, you will assist in tree removal and maintenance projects by supporting the crew, ensuring safety, and maintaining equipment and job sites. Your role will include clearing debris, handling tools and materials, and following all safety protocols to. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, enjoy outdoor work, and have a strong commitment to safety. Experience in landscaping, tree care, or similar fields is a plus, but we are willing to train the right individual. *Duties* 1. Supporting Tree Maintenance: Assisting with tree pruning, trimming, and removal tasks, ensuring the job is done safely and efficiently. 2. Equipment Handling: Operating and maintaining tools and machinery such as chainsaws, chippers, and bucket trucks, while ensuring they are kept in good working order. 3. Site Preparation and Cleanup: Preparing job sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and managing waste removal to maintain a safe and organized workspace. Must be able to drag heavy branches. 4. Safety Compliance: Following all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and protect yourself, team members, and clients. 5. Customer Service: Interacting courteously with clients and addressing any basic questions they might have during a job. 6. Team Collaboration: Communicating effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations throughout each project. These responsibilities require a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow in the field of arboriculture. *Experience* * Previous experience in tree work, landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred. * Familiarity with operating bucket trucks and other relevant machinery is advantageous. * Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while performing physical tasks. * First Aid and asset * Must have valid drivers licence and provide drivers abstract Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 ? 40 per week Benefits: * Paid time off * Tuition reimbursement Flexible language requirement: * English not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
