*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Your expertise in psychiatric nursing will be essential in ensuring the well-being and recovery of our patients in various settings, including hospitals, assisted living facilities, and senior care environments. *Responsibilities* * Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status and needs. * Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. * Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and effectiveness. * Provide therapeutic interventions and support to patients experiencing psychiatric disorders. * Document patient progress accurately using electronic health records (Epic). * Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. * Participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed. * Maintain a safe environment for patients by adhering to safety protocols and procedures. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients with complex needs, including those requiring pain management or dementia care. *Skills* * Strong background in patient care within hospital or assisted living settings. * Experience with medication administration and monitoring for psychiatric medications. * Knowledge of pain management techniques relevant to psychiatric nursing. * Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic. * Ability to provide compassionate care to diverse populations, including pediatrics and senior patients. * Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient information. * Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on patient-centered care.
