Position Overview: Herzing College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as a Faculty member in the Gasfitting Level 1 program in Manitoba. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accredited training program curricula, ensuring students gain the foundational skills and industry-relevant knowledge needed for success in the gasfitting trade. This role requires a strong dedication to teaching excellence and the ability to inspire and support students through their learning journey. Key Responsibilities: · Deliver high-quality instruction in alignment with the accredited training program curricula for Gasfitting Level 1. · Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and support students in achieving their learning outcomes. · Maintain current knowledge of the gasfitting industry, including best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory standards such as the Manitoba Gas Code. · Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and success. · Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to ensure program content reflects current industry needs and standards. · Engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching expertise and remain current in the gasfitting trade. Qualifications: · Hold a valid journeyperson certificate in the Gasfitting trade. · Completion of, or enrolment in, a provincially recognised teaching certificate program, such as Teaching for Learning in Applied Education (TFL), formerly known as the Certificate in Adult Education, or Technical Vocational Teacher Education. · Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. · Demonstrated commitment to creating a supportive and effective learning environment. · A passion for teaching and mentoring students, with a focus on adult education. Preferred Qualifications: · Previous teaching experience in a technical or vocational setting. · Familiarity with digital teaching tools and online learning platforms. · Experience in developing curriculum materials for vocational and/or trades training.
