*Position Overview*
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated *Hydro Mechanical Project Manager* to join our team. In this role, you will manage and coordinate all aspects of hydro generating projects, including design, planning, construction, and commissioning. You will also play a vital role in ensuring projects are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and safely while meeting the highest quality standards.
This position may be remote, depending on the candidate?s skills and experience.
*Key Responsibilities*
* *Project Planning and Management*:
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and timelines in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
* *Engineering Coordination*:
Oversee the engineering and design of mechanical components for hydro generating systems.
* *Installation Oversight*:
Supervise the installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment associated with hydro generating projects.
* *Stakeholder Collaboration*:
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
* *Deliverables Review*:
Review and approve project deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
* *Communication*:
Provide clear, effective communication to customers, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
* *Project Monitoring*:
Monitor and report on project quality, progress, and performance.
* *Compliance*:
Ensure all projects are executed in compliance with safety standards, timelines, and budgets.
*Qualifications and Experience*
* Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years of experience in the planning, design, construction, or commissioning of hydro generating projects.
* Proven ability to provide technical leadership on complex projects.
* Strong proficiency in project management software, including MS Project and MS Excel.
* P6 scheduling experience is an asset.
* Must possess a valid Class G driver?s license.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
* Must currently reside in and be legally employable in Canada (U.S. candidates are encouraged to view U.S. postings).
*Preference*: Experience in hydroelectric projects is essential.
