Tasks

  • Gather information on current government policies regarding recreation, sports and physical activities
  • Make recommendations on possible government policies related to recreation, sports and physical activities
  • Supervise professional staff, program leaders and instructors and volunteer staff
  • Co-ordinate special events
  • Provide expert advice and consulting services in the design, development and administration of sports, fitness and recreation programs and activities
  • Engage in community program development
