Ocean Pacific Marine has been providing parts and service to recreational boaters and commercial vessels in the Campbell River area since 1985. Boatyard projects vary in scope from local recreational & commercial vessels to Department of National Defense & Government of Canada vessels including Coast Guard & RCMP. Ocean Pacific Marine is currently accepting applications for: · *Experienced Marine Service Technician* A Marine Service Technician troubleshoots, repairs and installs marine related systems including but not limited to: · Heating · Black water · Fresh water (including water makers) · Running gear · Engine alignment · Bilge pumping · Thru-hulls · AC/DC electrical · Engine control systems · Hydraulics Vessels requiring repair and refit range from pleasure craft sailboats and luxury yachts to tug boats, fishing, Navy, Coast Guard and RCMP vessels. The ideal candidate will have a certification as a Marine Service Technician or comparable trade (Millwright, Heavy Duty Mechanic etc). Candidates with extensive experience and no certification are also welcomed to apply. ABYC training will be considered an asset. This is a full time, year-round, Monday-Friday position.
