Located in beautiful New Brunswick, the Department of Cardiac Sciences at the New Brunswick Heart Centre (NBHC), in conjunction with the Saint John Regional Hospital and Horizon Health, is seeking two (2) qualified full-time _*Interventional Cardiologists*_ to join our group. The Interventional Cardiology group at NBHC is searching for candidates interested in: 1. Candidates with strong leadership skills with desire to further develop and become director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory 2. Candidates in their early to mid-career with a drive to continue to develop their skills in the field of Interventional Cardiology. Advanced CTO/ CHIP or structural skills including TAVI would be considered a strong asset but are not essential. The successful candidate will hold an MD degree and should be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick. Preference will be given to candidates who either hold or are eligible for certification in Cardiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada with fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology. The NBHC is a bilingual program serving the province of New Brunswick and PEI and bilingual skills in French and English would be considered an asset. The Interventional Cardiology group works in a collaborative practice consisting of 6 Interventional Cardiologists offering a full spectrum of coronary diagnostic tools and interventions including: integrated physiological assessment of CAD (iFR, RFR, FFR), Intravascular Imaging (IVUS and OCT), calcium modifying therapies (IVL, Rotational, and Orbital Atherectomy, OPN), LV support (IMPELLA, ECMO), and CHIP/ CTO PCI. The growing structural program at NBHC currently includes TAVI, MitraClip, and ASD/ PFO closure. The group currently performs more than 4,000 cardiac catheterizations per year with more than 1,600 PCI, 100 CHIP PCI, and 250 TAVI. The Interventional Cardiology group is part of The Department of Cardiac Sciences, NBHC, and Horizon Health, which is built on a supportive and friendly collaboration between 7 Clinical Cardiologists, 4 Electrophysiologists, and 6 Cardiac Surgeons. The successful applicant will equally share the workload of the Interventional Cardiology service which includes inpatient and outpatient care, provincial transfer service, and Interventional Cardiology call. Participation in CCU call, attending in Cardiac ICU, and General Cardiology inpatient and outpatient consultation is a requirement. NBHC provides teaching and research opportunities to its members through Dalhousie University. The successful candidate will report to the Head, Department of Cardiac Sciences, NBHC, Saint John Regional Hospital.
